I am really happy with the this little giraffe turned out...

of course I used a plush fabric and not mohair...

I wanted to get a few under my belt ....

Fall Is In The Air!! Yeah!!

Fall is in the air...I can feel it...it is so much cooler later in the day and early in the morning...

I have been really working hard to get all my info back on my computer...

so I do apologize for not posting in a such a long while....

I think I may finally be back on track and in the swing...

Here are the last of my pumpkins...

these pumpkins sell faster than I can make them...

I made quite a few more and sold to locals before I could post on ebay....

The pumpkin above is a combo of a pattern by I think Sweet Meadows Farm and

a little twist of my own styling...

I just love adding fall florals around the house and this pumpkin is perfect..

the bat is attached to rusty wire...

and is easily removed from the floral foam inside the pumpkin...

These pumpkins are all made from muslin that has been painted...sanded...distressed...

and rubbed with my own prim mix...

And of course the Tall Skinny Pumpkins by DDFA....everyone loves these so much...

they are wonerful on a front porch...

or next to a fireplace...but not too close...

we don't want roasted pumpkins...

And this is a first white pumpkin...this picture really does no justice...

the coloring on this is really pretty...the white is offset by a tinge of

orange in the seams...

and of course Primitive Folk Art is all handmade by Jan.... for Jan Marie Dolls and Prims....

Baby Miss Piggy

Had to buy a new laptop...my old one had a blue screen critical error and all the information was lost...so please be patient with me...I am trying to add things to this new computer...so much information...family photos...documents...doll and craft patterns....so along with the new laptop I have also added an external hard drive to do backups...listen ladies and gents...I cannot stress enough how important this is...I

learned the hardway...
Anywho!!!

This is what I worked on last week...she is a custom order...Baby Miss Piggy...

she turned out really cute...I hope the customer likes

her too!!!....

She is based on a vintage Vogue pattern with my own little changes...handmade by JanMarieDollsandPrims...

I just need to finish up her little booties and add lace to her gloved hands....

Next comes baby Kermit...he just hasn't dyed the way I want yet...He really

is a tough color to duplicate...anyone have any ideas for Kermit the frog green??

I Love These Scarecrows

I just can't help myself....I love these scarecrows....he is just so dapper...primitive but not too grungy...I added a little sweet annie to this one...I broke down and purchased some from The Flower Patch online...

really fast shipping...and they are only about 6" long so not a lot of waste

for smaller projects....love it..

I also added some to his pumpkin along with some moss....

I know they are black cats....but the face really makes me think of a Siamese cat....
These are just about ready to go...just need whiskers and tails...they really are so primitive looking...maybe a little pumpkin with the set would really look like fall....I can't recall who this pattern is by...I don't have it with me....

Here is a new little kitty doll I am working on....Maybe it could be a new pattern...Not sure how to go about turning these into patterns...will have to research when I have some time...

She is only about 11"....maybe her legs could be a little longer...but all in all she is a cutie...

Not much else going on...trying to sew when I can....Babysitting three grandies...cooking three meals a day...washing, housecleaning...you girls know the routine...trying to squeeze the sewing into all that...it's a job in itself....

Grandkids are out of school, so not too many breaks for sewing here....

Kitties and Frogs and Bears Oh My !!!!

Sew and Sew...I have a show coming up on the 26th and I am trying to get alot of sewing done first....I usually work on only one item at a time so this is a first for me...to have so many WIP's at one time....but I'm anxious to see how this works out for me....

I am working on primitive and cute kitties, frogs and bears..they are all original designs by Jan Marie Dolls and Prims and this is the first time for all these patterns...
Well I'm off to sew and paint and sew and paint....you get the picture...

A Sneak Peek!!

I am making the cutest little african american dolls....I think she or maybe he is sweet....I created a new soft sculpture pattern for them so it will need some tweaking....it has a little longer torso and the nose is sculpted not sewn on...it will also have the plastic safety joints so arms and legs move...easier to change clothes for kiddies too....different ears...so we'll see...let me know your thoughts...comments are always appreciated...

Oh Lookie, Another Baby on the Way

What a sweet little face....arms and legs too...of course she is wondering where her body is....be patient little one it's on the way....creation is a process....these babies are all about the size of a newborn baby and are weighted so they feel like a real baby when you cuddle them....and you will cuddle...you just can't help yourself....

I'm really hooked on making these baskets...they are so easy and super cute....they are perfect for Easter candy and eggs and after you can use them for just about anything...each one really is different because you can mix the fabric strips any way you want....

Sorry for being away for so long...things happen in this game we call life....
so Easter is on it's way already...but I'm back with more primitive folk art dolls...here is a little something I just finished up...I think she came out rather sweetly...this bunny is a cutie with her little skirt and in the running mode...she must be going to pick up Easter eggs....

Her face is handpainted and she is wearing a rusty bell around her neck..she is on a wooden candlestick that has been painted white and distressed...

Winter Doldrums...Ho Hum

I have the worst case of winter doldrums....defined as stagnation, a state of inactivity, dull, gloomy, sluggish, listless...need I go on...How does one break away from this feeling...I am really not a winter girl at all...

I long for warm, sunshiny days...

I am dreaming of all the things I will create...now if I could just get the rest of me to cooperate...

Here is one sweet little baby..this was a custom order for one sweet little girl...I hope she loves her as much as I loved creating her...she is a soft sculpture baby doll with brown eyes...she has a cute little tushie and is needle sculpted all over..she is wearing a cloth diaper made for her and a cute little pink nightgown with matching hat, mittens and socks...

she is a OOAK doll...and wears preemie size baby clothing....

Ok, I will get busy....I will get busy....I will keep telling myself this until I hear that sewing machine hum all day...

I finished one of the snowmen...This one has his little friend the cardinal resting on his branch arm...this picture really does not do this piece justice...I was a little over zealous in getting this picture...the light is not very good at all...

The face is handpainted and sealed..I added twigs for the arms along with some other greenery and berries...a darling christmas print for the body...trimmed with sherpa, rusty bells, rusty pins and more...this is my own design...

Get Ready For Market

I'm getting ready for Farmer's Market tomorrow...this is new for me...must have new things each week to hold interest...I added these lovely tall door pumpkins, some of the smaller tall skinnies to sell individually...I'm going to show Peter Pumpkin and see if it peeks anyone's interest there....here's a couple of pics...

Little Annie may be ready for bedtime and Santa(Sweet Meadows Farm pattern)...but I'm not!!

These are those tall door pumpkins...they have wire hanger on the back to hang on the wall or door...they are based on another's pattern(joy's prim shed)...but I changed the embellishments some..

I made some of these little ellies(pattie's ratties)...they are so cute...

Farmers Market Update

Well, I think the first Farmers Market went great...I made 3 really good contacts for other venues to sell my items...one is a consignment shop...The lady that owns the shop is excited about putting the primitives in there...I'm anxious to see how that goes too...Never done consignment before...And I did make a few sales too...everyone loved the witch boots they are based on a pattern from MoonChildsPrimitives.

A new witch I am working on. This is from a pattern...She is going to be really spooky looking when done...she will have a hat, some string hair and some bells... I also am working on a new style of witch boot...it will have rusty bells, dried sweet annie, and other embellishments....I'll post finished photos later....

This is a great little shelf my DH makes from reclaimed wood....They are really a great size for mudrooms, hallways and along side a door...they can be ordered in several colors...the one shown is quite distressed and shown in a buttermilk color....

Jinxy and Friends for Halloween

Just about done with this little guy...He is ready to par..tay with his party hat and mouse friend for Halloween..He is also ready for fall with his pumpkin at his side...This is an original design by me....Just a few minor things left to finish him up....Hmmm...Thinking about placing them on a very prim display board...Oh well I think he looks great for now....Stay tuned for more to come...

Here is another little cutie I have been working on....I think I will call this "What's a Mother To Do"...cleaning and scrubbing or babies wanting to be cuddled...

Whoa Nellie It's Been A While!!!

Sometimes Life Just Happens....I have been busy babysitting, helping get grandies to school and helping my daughter out who just had to go back to work...After all that is what family is all about...Being there when you're needed....

Anywho...Here are some things I am working on...They will be listed on my selling blog when they are finished....Meanwhile if you have any questions or comments I'd love to hear them....

One is called The Witching Moon, one is The Mouse Princess..and last but not least is a prim style bunny....please ignore their nakedness....I promised them they would have clothes soon....

This might be the last Santa of the year. I am so busy with Christmas and sewing for my grandies time is just running out. Anywho, I love this guy. He is so olde fashioned with his Annie ornie and I added a victorian style frame I found. You add your own picture to make Santa personally yours....

Annie and the frame can also hang on your tree.

Off to sew some more. I love Christmas....

I think I will have to make a New Year's resolution to post more often. Well Merry Holidays for now and blessings to your families.

Boy am I Way Behind!!!!

Ok here is my scarecrow. I don't know why I can't seem to get anything finished, oh yea it's this thing called life. Well anyway this one is done and should be on ebay tonite. Check him out. He is so sweet to hang on your door or to sit with his pumkin in a prim cupboard or shelf.

He is about 28" high and his pumpkin is 18' around and about 5" high to the top of the stem. He is really so cute and sweet in person and would look absolutely great hanging on your door to greet your fall visitors.

Stay tuned cause I have a gorgeous Santa and reindeer coming your way. There of course will also be snowmen.

Whoo Hoo! Two More Done

Man time flies when you're having fun. I just got two more dolls done. It's just been so busy at home I don't know where the time goes. Seems like I shoulda got more done. Well anyway here they are.

She is my very proper pilgrim lady. She is very simple and sweet. She would be happy to grace any prim shelf or cupboard at your house. She is made on a vintage beehive bobbin.

Here They Are

Here they are. All done up and ready to make you smile. This first one is Candy Corn Annie. She has her little trick or treat bag made like a candy corn and the cutest little black candy corn print on her dress. She is 11" high. I think she will smile if someone takes her trick or treating.

Now this is ghosts and pumpkins Annie. She has a jack o lantern trick or treat bag and is smiling cause she knows candy is soon to fill her little treat bag. Check her out.

And of course here is purple harvest Annie. She is just ready to sit around and enjoy the nice fall weather that is on the way. She has little scarecrows, stars, leaves and acorns on her dress.

I have three little cuties on the way. My little 3 year old grandbaby said Grammy, I love all your baby dolls. Enough for me, that's why I do it.

Prim Pumpkins

Hi! Ya'll and Prim Blessings,

Something a little different and just simply prim. Great to tuck in your prim cupboard or sit on a prim shelf. They turned out really great. I painted, stained and grungied them up good. Added a real tree branch to the top along with a rusty wire curl. These would also look great as part of your fall table decor or on your Thanksgiving table.

I love these bats. They are made from muslin which has been painted, sanded and grungied up. Great bowl fillers or you could add some wire or string and hang them for Halloween.

Whew! I am telling you September came in so fast and hasn't stopped yet. I can't believe it's almost the end of September already.

I also added another Lil Jack the Pumpkin Man. I will be adding the most awesome pumpkin make do's for fall. They really came out great.

Smaller Version of a Real Sweet Doll

Here's what I have new. I made a smaller version of my favorite doll. She is about 15" tall with the cutest little face.

The little white french bonnet is an extra when I sell on eBay at the BIN price. It is all handmade by me using a pattern I made. I love this bonnet and when my girls were little they all had bonnets like this one. What a perfect way to frame a baby face. This bonnet fits a preemie.

This doll is about the size of a preemie baby and can wear preemie size diapers and clothing. Hours of fun for your little girls.

She is child friendly with safety joints and no sewn on parts to come off. I do not use hair on these dolls so they may be washed on gentlest cycle in a pillowcase with mild detergent. They can be reblushed after if desired.

Well, I think the countdown has begun for Halloween fans. I listed and sold a few items on eBay. Couple of pics below. I will be listing a few more along with some fall dolls and needfuls.I love these boots. They are based on a pattern from Moonchild Primitives with my own variations. I am sending my sister a set of these with a prim tag that says The Witch is In. I told her she can put it on her desk at work.

And of course Lil Jack the Pumpkin Man. He is so cute. I think I will make a few more of these too! and maybe give a few to some friends. He is based on a pattern from Willow Wind Primitives with my own touches added.

Well, I've started a new blog for all my primitive creations and I think I will probably combine all my blogs into just this one. It really is overwhelming sometimes trying to keep up with the posting, creating and crafting.

I have some things I think are really great that I posted to eBay. Some of these are sold, but I wanted to show them to you anyway. Love to hear any comments, suggestions or yes even criticism. Input is always appreciated.

I almost forgot, tomorrow is mine and dear hubbies anniversary. 35 years and going strong. I feel like I have known him all my life. I met him when I was 13 and went home and told mom I had met the boy I was going to marry. Sounds corny but true. Love him as much now if not more than I did then.
