Lil Punkin Primitive Folk Art Raggedy Ann Doll

Lil Punkin with Bunny....handmade by Jan Marie Dolls and Prims....



Made from muslin....painted....sanded and distressed....rubbed with my own prim mix....Her sweet face is hand embroidered...she has a cute little stem on her head with the tiniest little prim bow...Her dress is from a vintage style fabric with a cheesecloth apron attached...with to olde wooden buttons...



Her bloomers are aged muslin...she stands apprx 17" tall...



Lil Punkin comes with her very sweet little bunny...made from aged flannel...embellished with three rusty bells...his features are also hand embroidered....he is apprx 7" tall...and simply tied to Lil Punkin with some olde string....so he can be easily removed if desired...



This piece has a handwritten tag attached which says..."Lil Punkin"




This is a unique one of a kind by Jan Marie Dolls and Prims....she comes signed and dated on her backside...and attached hangtag...

Fall Is In The Air!! Yeah!!

Fall is in the air...I can feel it...it is so much cooler later in the day and early in the morning...

I have been really working hard to get all my info back on my computer...

so I do apologize for not posting in a such a long while....

I think I may finally be back on track and in the swing...

Here are the last of my pumpkins...

these pumpkins sell faster than I can make them...

I made quite a few more and sold to locals before I could post on ebay....

The pumpkin above is a combo of a pattern by I think Sweet Meadows Farm and

a little twist of my own styling...

I just love adding fall florals around the house and this pumpkin is perfect..

the bat is attached to rusty wire...

and is easily removed from the floral foam inside the pumpkin...

These pumpkins are all made from muslin that has been painted...sanded...distressed...

and rubbed with my own prim mix...

And of course the Tall Skinny Pumpkins by DDFA....everyone loves these so much...

they are wonerful on a front porch...

or next to a fireplace...but not too close...

we don't want roasted pumpkins...

And this is a first white pumpkin...this picture really does no justice...

the coloring on this is really pretty...the white is offset by a tinge of

orange in the seams...

I Love These Scarecrows

I just can't help myself....I love these scarecrows....he is just so dapper...primitive but not too grungy...I added a little sweet annie to this one...I broke down and purchased some from The Flower Patch online...

really fast shipping...and they are only about 6" long so not a lot of waste

for smaller projects....love it..

I also added some to his pumpkin along with some moss....

he will be on eBay by Wednesday....along with Gretchen the witch sitting next to him...

I am also working a a prairie baby....I will post pictures as soon as she is far enough along...

Scarecrows and Annies

Well it is still hot, hot, hot....but it's time to make those fall primitives.....so we can at least think about when it will be cooler....
I made two more scarecrows...this pattern is sweet meadows farm...

I am Siamese If You Please....

I know they are black cats....but the face really makes me think of a Siamese cat....
These are just about ready to go...just need whiskers and tails...they really are so primitive looking...maybe a little pumpkin with the set would really look like fall....I can't recall who this pattern is by...I don't have it with me....

Rev Up For Halloween

Here she sits next to Polly Anna frog patiently waiting for her clothes...she just seems kinda witchy to me...

so on that note I think a hat would be appropriate...long and pointed...maybe in black...

oh she agrees...I can see the sparkle in her eyes just thinking about it...

Farmers Market Update

Well, I think the first Farmers Market went great...I made 3 really good contacts for other venues to sell my items...one is a consignment shop...The lady that owns the shop is excited about putting the primitives in there...I'm anxious to see how that goes too...Never done consignment before...And I did make a few sales too...everyone loved the witch boots they are based on a pattern from MoonChildsPrimitives.

Whoo Hoo! Two More Done

Man time flies when you're having fun. I just got two more dolls done. It's just been so busy at home I don't know where the time goes. Seems like I shoulda got more done. Well anyway here they are.


She is my very proper pilgrim lady. She is very simple and sweet. She would be happy to grace any prim shelf or cupboard at your house. She is made on a vintage beehive bobbin.

I will be listing her on ebay today. Thanks.

Here is my other pumpkin jack. I think he is the cutest little guy. He is dressed and I think ready for a Halloween party. He even has his crow with him.

He will be listed on ebay later today or tomorrow. Keep an eye out.

Prim Pumpkins

Hi! Ya'll and Prim Blessings,

Something a little different and just simply prim. Great to tuck in your prim cupboard or sit on a prim shelf. They turned out really great. I painted, stained and grungied them up good. Added a real tree branch to the top along with a rusty wire curl. These would also look great as part of your fall table decor or on your Thanksgiving table.

I love these bats. They are made from muslin which has been painted, sanded and grungied up. Great bowl fillers or you could add some wire or string and hang them for Halloween.

Pumpkin Girl & Boo Doll

Ghost Annie

Whew! I am telling you September came in so fast and hasn't stopped yet. I can't believe it's almost the end of September already.

Well, I made a few more of those witch boots I love so much. Just listed them on ebay. If you like you can bid on them here: janmariedollsandprims on eBay .

I also added another Lil Jack the Pumpkin Man. I will be adding the most awesome pumpkin make do's for fall. They really came out great.

And I have a new little Ghost Annie. She can be bid on here: janmariedollsandprims on eBay . I didn't post the picture yet, but she has a little friend named "Boo". He is a ghost of course. I will post a picture of them together ASAP.

You can also catch a glimpse of the Witch Boots in this picture. I am working on so many things right now, I just have to focus and finish some before I end up with a box of unfinished projects.

Getting Ready for Halloween!!!

Well, I think the countdown has begun for Halloween fans. I listed and sold a few items on eBay. Couple of pics below. I will be listing a few more along with some fall dolls and needfuls.I love these boots. They are based on a pattern from Moonchild Primitives with my own variations. I am sending my sister a set of these with a prim tag that says The Witch is In. I told her she can put it on her desk at work.

And of course Lil Jack the Pumpkin Man. He is so cute. I think I will make a few more of these too! and maybe give a few to some friends. He is based on a pattern from Willow Wind Primitives with my own touches added.

Well, I've started a new blog for all my primitive creations and I think I will probably combine all my blogs into just this one. It really is overwhelming sometimes trying to keep up with the posting, creating and crafting.

I have some things I think are really great that I posted to eBay. Some of these are sold, but I wanted to show them to you anyway. Love to hear any comments, suggestions or yes even criticism. Input is always appreciated.



I almost forgot, tomorrow is mine and dear hubbies anniversary. 35 years and going strong. I feel like I have known him all my life. I met him when I was 13 and went home and told mom I had met the boy I was going to marry. Sounds corny but true. Love him as much now if not more than I did then.
