Scarecrow

I tried my hand at a round head scarecrow...

I think he came out so cute...

lots of prim embellishements...

sweet annie, rusty pins, rusty bells,

olde burlap...olde denim jeans...

and a homespun cotton shirt...

I did something a little different for the hair...

It is torn strips of muslin...stained...

and stitched on...

Handstitched face...

a very cute primitive doll...

ready to help decorate for the fall harvest season...

almost ready for ebay...

Hortense is just waiting on her broom...

and then she flies off to eBay for a 7 day...

she is from a bpp pattern...

with my own twists added...

this is Harry...Harry is a sweet scarecrow...

Harry is going to pick a...

pumpkin from the patch...

and then he will be off for his 7 day...

I Love These Scarecrows

I just can't help myself....I love these scarecrows....he is just so dapper...primitive but not too grungy...I added a little sweet annie to this one...I broke down and purchased some from The Flower Patch online...

really fast shipping...and they are only about 6" long so not a lot of waste

for smaller projects....love it..

I also added some to his pumpkin along with some moss....

sweet meadows farm pattern....handmade by janmariedollsandprims...

he will be on eBay by Wednesday....along with Gretchen the witch sitting next to him...

I am also working a a prairie baby....I will post pictures as soon as she is far enough along...

Well off to finish a scarf for Sammy the Scarecrow along with his hangtag....

Farmers Market

Well, I'm going to try the local Farmers Market and see what happens...I have been looking for a new venue other than Ebay ( and I have not listed any there in awhile..some people on ebay think it's a garage sale...)
