Winter Doldrums...Ho Hum

I have the worst case of winter doldrums....defined as stagnation, a state of inactivity, dull, gloomy, sluggish, listless...need I go on...How does one break away from this feeling...I am really not a winter girl at all...

I long for warm, sunshiny days...

I am dreaming of all the things I will create...now if I could just get the rest of me to cooperate...



Here is one sweet little baby..this was a custom order for one sweet little girl...I hope she loves her as much as I loved creating her...she is a soft sculpture baby doll with brown eyes...she has a cute little tushie and is needle sculpted all over..she is wearing a cloth diaper made for her and a cute little pink nightgown with matching hat, mittens and socks...

she is a OOAK doll...and wears preemie size baby clothing....

Ok, I will get busy....I will get busy....I will keep telling myself this until I hear that sewing machine hum all day...

The countdown has begun...cookie sales in southern Nevada will begin in about 11 days where I live...you can visit this site girlscouts.org to find out when the cookies will be available in your area...Girl Scouts is such a valuable organization. It teaches young girls leadership skills. The money that comes directly from your cookie purchases is what keeps the organization going. So, consider it a charitable donation to the success of a new generation of young future female leaders in America. Here is a picture of my all time favorite...

Samoas or Caramel Delights....can't get enough of these babies...I always buy alot of boxes and have to hide them from everyone...

It's That Time Of The Year Again

Christmas Wishes To All

Snowman and Cardinal

I finished one of the snowmen...This one has his little friend the cardinal resting on his branch arm...this picture really does not do this piece justice...I was a little over zealous in getting this picture...the light is not very good at all...

The face is handpainted and sealed..I added twigs for the arms along with some other greenery and berries...a darling christmas print for the body...trimmed with sherpa, rusty bells, rusty pins and more...this is my own design...

This little girl is waiting for a diaper and some clothes...picky little girls must wait you see...but she seems happy sitting on a pile of fabric...Hmmm...can't decide what color to wear....
