Getting Back into the Swing...

It has been far too long since I posted on this blog...I have been out of the loop and busy with other things..like planning a move across the country which did not happen as anticipated..
but that is another story...

so getting back into the swing of things..does take some time..
On a brighter note, here is a special doll I am working on for a special little
birthday girl...
this is an all natural waldorf style doll...sewn from organic cotton interlock, stuffed with wool and
facial features are embroidered with DMC floss...she is wearing a mohair wig...
she is the first doll I have made in this style..she is pretty cute..
can't wait to start attempting making my own mohair wigs and wig caps..
and I will also be sewing some doll clothes for this little sweetie...
maybe matching dresses for the birthday girl and waldorf doll..hmmm...
now that might be doable...

I sure hope she likes her...

Thanks and Have a Great Day...

All About Sewing

Hi folks..long time since I was here..I have been working..but now I'm back and I have decided to add a new blog to my list..it's all about sewing..it will have all sorts of fun sewing tips and tricks...project ideas for adults and kids...free patterns and sewing machine reviews for all you newbies...

I recently purchased a new machine myself...after 28 years using my Kenmore Sensorsew 70 I thought it was time to get a newer electronic machine..now don't get me wrong the Kenmore still sews like a dream..it's just not as computerized as the newer machines...well not wanting to spend an arm and a leg for a new machine...I found this Brother PC 420...I gotta tell you it wasn't my first choice...I purchased a Singer and promptly returned it...ordered the Brother and was shocked at the difference in QUALITY...the Brother sews so much smoother than the Singer and was a lot quieter..which matters if you're at this machine hours at a time...here's a picture of the machine I bought...

so be on the lookout for my new page...I will give notice here when I launch it so you can hop over and have a peek...thanks again for all the support and I'll be back to sewing and blogging right away....

Most of the items I create are from my own original designs...occassionally I use a pattern purchased from another designer....I always try to give the designer credit...if it has been omitted because I rushed or had brain fade...please let me know....sometimes it will be in a previous post...if you come across a pattern used and nowhere has the designer been given credit...I will go back and post the designer's name....
